Through our supportive environment, we strive to empower individuals to not only craft beautiful works of art but also to forge meaningful connections, cultivate new skills, and embark on a journey of healing and personal growth. Alloway Railway Tunnel Art SCIO

We involve communities in creating and maintaining artworks on active-travel paths – our first project in a tunnel on a walking/cycling path in Ayr. Our target population includes schools, students, youth organisations, care home residents, young carers, disadvantaged youth , members of the general public; under the professional supervision of a contracted lead artist .Achieved through education on site, in extra-curricular activities in schools and college, and by holding open workshops..

Tony's Safe Place

Tony's safe place provides support for people who are experiencing; poor mental health, suicidal ideation, bereavement,grief, social isolation, and trauma. We work to prevent suicide and reduce harm and stigma associated with suicide and poor mental health. Through partnership working we can also help people access support for addictions, and issues relating to poverty such as food insecurity.

Valleyfield Bowling Club

Small bowling club, bringing people of all age groups together. Involving the community. Inviting social aspects, bringing people together. Offering potential to players, coaching and a family hub. Keeping membership costs low for those less fortunate and creating a happy, welcoming club to all.

Veterinary Education Trust For Continuing Professional Development

The Trust was established to make the Coulter Public Library and Reading Room available and accessible to the inhabitants of the village and its vicinity.

Friends of the Ghillie Dhu

The Ghillie Dhu groups provide a therapeutic group experience for children in North Ayrshire who have experienced early trauma and adversity. The focus is on therapeutic play, promoting emotional literacy and social skills while providing the level adult supervision which the children need to safely interact with each other, learn and have fun.

Springburn Park Men's Shed

The purpose of the organisation is to provide recreational facilities and advance the social needs, health and well being of men of all ages and backgrounds living in Springburn and surrounding areas. By:a) Creating, developing and maintaining a facility, namely a Men’s Shed. b) Offering opportunities for men in the Springburn area to meet and undertake creative, physical, purposeful and recreational activities of their choice.c) Reducing isolation of men in the area thus contributing to their physical and mental wellbeing. d) Developing the capacity of men in the Springburn area to share their skills and knowledge with others in the community.

As a Community Council we work to improve the local area and lives of the residents

Kildonan Village Hall (Arran)

Joined SCVO as a Member on 2 May

Kildonan Hall is the beating heart of our village and communtiy.We organise at least one event per month to bring the community together.These vary from Quiz nights to Charity fundraisers to Ceilidhs. The village hall hosts keep fit and yoga classes, tap dancing. Ecco Savvy Zero waste cafe is help monthly as are WI events. An annual Carol Concert and childrens party are held at Christmas.We have developed a database for the Village and send out quarterly newsletters.We are under development for a cafe and shop and continue to fundraise for this important ambition for the community.

Tech Skills For ALL

We are a tech empowerment community that educates and empower black and ethnic minority women living in Scotland to pursue careers in the field of technology. We run tech events, workshops, community coding projects and provide mentorship opportunities for encouraging black women in tech.
